Cahit Üner: “We manufacture machine made carpets with appearance of hand made carpets, using 100% Turkish and New Zealand wool in our production. The main distinctive feature of our machine made carpets is the usage of wool warp. In other words, wool loops are woven into wool warps, just like in hand made carpets.”

Yüner Halı (Yüner Carpet Co.), being active in the Turkish carpet sector since 1950, started machine made carpet production in 1987 with two new weaving looms purchased. The company added Stragarn brand wool yarn carding machines to their machinery plant in 1992 and this way the production capacity was expanded to the world standards.

Underlining the importance of following the technological innovations, Cahit Üner remarked: “We are producing wool carpets with our highly experienced twenty five employees. Our plant is located on a 5500 square meter area and we have two Van de Wiele brand computerized jacquard weaving looms.”

In 2006 the company was among the exhibitors of Eurasia Floor. Cahit Üner says that they received positive results from the show and created international business contacts and added: “Even though we were rather interested in internal market, we had the chance to meet the authorities of foreign companies during the fair and the results are fairly promising.”

Yüner Halı is now developing their product qualities in accordance with the latest technologies in order to be one of the leading brands in carpet industry.
