ANGORA CARPETS: A NEW PLAYER IN THE GLOBAL CARPET SECTOR
Although it started its production only a while ago, Angora Carpets reached an amazing production volume of 2.800.000 sqm/year. The company aims to further increase its share in the export market within the next few years. Angora Carpets is a newly-found
company but its founders come from a long tradition of carpet and
kilim weaving. In 2000 the family founding the company who actually
stopped the carpet production for awhile and went into yarn business
which is a parallel sector to the carpet sector, and then decided
to return to carpet manufacturing using a brand new technology. When
Angora Carpets was officially founded in 2001, the company aimed to
grow in foreign markets and subsequently market its products to domestic
market using only a certain proportion of its capacity. Angora Carpets,
with this aim in mind, has been exporting almost all of its products.
USA, Austrlia, Japan, Italy, Poloand, Slovakia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia,
Kuvvait, England, Portugal and Spain are among the countries Angora
Carpets export its products to. The primary goal of the company is
to extend their customer portfolio and increase the number of countries
Angora Carpets markets it products. In order to o this Angora Carpets
prepared a plan and extended this plan over the years. Design is critical issue
for Angora Carpets and it has an independent design team consisting
of experienced and knowledgeable designers. Since it is mainly the
export markets Angora serves with its products, the models and designs
chosen by each country can be completely different from each other.
Therefore Angora Carpets' design department keeps in touch with the
customners at all times and collections created by design department
for each individual customer is influenced by their choices. |
